Dai Fujikura was artistic director of the Born Creative Festival held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre on 28 September 2019. As part of the programme there was ‘David Sylvian’s Room’ where recordings of instrumental work from David’s catalogue were played.
Born on March 11, 1963 in Seewinkel, Burgenland, a Hannibal Marvin Peterson concert at Jazzgalerie Nickelsdorf was the young trumpeters awakening experience. He studied at the Jazz department of todays Art University in Graz from 1981 to 1983 until lip palsy forced him to take a six year total break from trumpeting.
Waxploitation Records released its Genocide in Sudan CD which includes songs donated by artists including David Sylvian, System of a Down, Jill Scott, Gorillaz, Yoko Ono and Jurassic 5 amongst many others.
