CRIES AND WHISPERS is the follow up to Anthony Reynolds’ acclaimed 2015 biography on Japan, A Foreign Place. It covers in depth and in detail the works of David Sylvian, Mick Karn, Rob Dean, Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri both solo and collaboratively between 1983 and 1991.
Hypergraphia is published in a limited edition of 3,000 copies. An edition of 500 signed and individually numbered copies, by Sylvian and designer Chris Bigg, have sold out. Randomly included in the remaining 2,500 copies are 50 signed unnumbered copies.

On The Periphery – David Sylvian: A Biography – The Solo Years by Chris Young. This book – which has taken 3 years to complete – tracks the period of Sylvian’s solo career from 1982 to 2013. The book was published in English (original), Italian and Japanese.

At the abandon/hope exhibition at the Spiral garden in Tokyo, a very beautiful exhibition catalogue was released. The book is a 2-volume set, one volume is “Abandon” (which features the Tokyo works), and the other is “Hope” (the Uno works) and was released in 3 versions.

Chris Crader is a well known photographer in the Sylvian community. He made wonderful pictures of David and band during the Everything And Nothing tour in 2002 and in 2007 at the The World Is Everything tour.
