Since DAVID SYLVIAN split Japan at their zenith nearly a decade ago his fans have been praying they’d got back together. And now they have, under the name of RAIN TREE CROW. STEVE SUTHERLAND meets Sylvian to discover the impetus behind the band’s re-emergence.
The Zero Landmine show was a two hour show, filled with japanese celebraties and officials and footages in order to raise money for the Zero Landime project. In that show, Ryuichi Sakamoto visits areas, covered with landmines (Mozambique).
In march 2011 the track Trauma was used in a commercial from Armani, featuring tennisplayer Rafael Nadal.
Yuka Fujii, long time Sylvian artistic collaborator, has particitipated in an exhibition called 'Minus One' curated by Atsuhide Ito and featuring Noriko Tanaka.
Yuka Fujii: TRANSIENT (cine-photo version 2 – 5:25min. /osmosis film 2007) “TRANSIENT” is a short dv film made up of cine-photo images featuring those of young Japanese boys drumming on a raised portable shrine at an Autumn festival in Naoshima, Japan.

David Sylvian is interviewed for VH1’s TalkMusic show at the time of release of Dead Bees On A Cake. Programme broadcast Sunday March 28th 1999. The intro audio is out of synch but the rest is not, strangely.
A wonderful 1 hour special of the German broadcast company VH-1 about the carriers of David Sylvian, Mick Karn, Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri up to 1996. Features many unique interviews and footages but, unfortunately, it's narrated in German.
