Updated: David contributes on Japanese Blonde Redhead album and single

David has recorded an alternate version of the track Messenger, which will probably appear as a bonus track on the Japanese issue of the Blonde Redhead album Misery is a butterfly and on the upcoming Blonde Redhead single Equus. Note that neither of these releases have been officially confirmed.

In the Japanese magazines Crossbeat and Rockin’ On, an advert has been published promoting the new album of Blonde Redhead, a formation of the Italian twins Amedeo and Simone Pace, and a girl called Kaz from Kyoto.

The album is called Misery is a butterfly and the bonus track would be a track called Messenger (alternate version) with vocals by David Sylvian.
The catalogue number is PCD-23486 and it can be pre-ordered at amazon.co.jp.

Both Opium (Arts) and the record company P-Vine tell me that it’s still unconfirmed and uncertain. Actually, P-Vine states that they keep pushing the release date back due to several factors….

Furthermore….

The single Equus, to be released at May 24, 2004 on the 4AD label, features the track Messenger too:
1. Equus
2. Messenger (featuring David Sylvian)
3. Melody (French version)
4. Equus (Video)
catalogue number: BAD2415CD
