The samples used in the song appears to have come from the Samuel Beckett tv play "Eh Joe" - which contains the lines "I was strong myself when I started ......wasn't I Joe" which are used in the song.

The woman's voice praying in italian is from the Italian edition DVD of "Nostalghia" by Andrei Tarkovsky.
During one of first scenes there is a procession dedicated to the Virgin Mary... first woman of the procession open the dress of the statue of Mary and some swallows fly away (you can hear swallows at the beginning of the sample)
The woman talking is a litany.
