Mothlight

In 2002 Blind Spot editor Kim Zorn Caputo asked if I'd consider creating some music for a monograph she was working on with photographers the Starn Twins, the subject of which was moths and their mesmeric attraction to light. The request was exploratory in nature, a testing of the water. 'mothlight' was the resulting composition. It's a rough sketch for a larger piece which was never completed as Kim's concept never found it's wings! Nevertheless, some of the sounds programmed for use in this piece went on to find a home on the Blemish cd. The book has since been published. Entitled 'Attracted to light' it's a beautiful edition published by PowerHouse/Blind Spot Books.
