David Sylvian. A master of his craft. All I can say is that DS is a genius!! I will be back time and time again for the music, the lyrics, the experiance. I am touched!!!!!!!! !1

Before anyone notices my ignorance of the Blemish album, I’d like to correct my comment about the ‘out-of-sync-ness’ of the live vocals and backing track on ‘the only daughter’. I’ve just re-listened to the album version (maybe for the second time only) and realised that this effect was deliberate. Very strange. It certainly had me fooled on the night, and it begs the question, why...?

Well its been a long time how should i feel what can i say? I have not seen David Sylvian since 1988 [In Praise of Shamans,] and indeed i was wondering what would i feel and what i would say? After reading some of the reviews of previous nights where one reviewer thought it necessary to leave after four songs because he was embareesed!!! and seeing as "Blemish " was not the easiest of listenings at the start this was the frame of mind i entered the auditorium with. i could sit hear try and be clever and deconstruct the gig and unveil to you the inperfections in the performance but really there are none....... Blemish was performed with the heart felt integrity it was written with, the acoustic set had well chosen pieces that sat with the lyrical content of "Blemish," the visuals had warmth, charm and starkness and were a perrfect marriage to the music. All three performers were quiet and gentile as would be expected but David seemed a little more vocal than usual and warmly referred to the audience on a number of occassions as "family." As with all things there is always sunshine above the grey sky, i found it there last night, ignore the damming reviewers and if you are going to one of the future concerts on this tour go with your eyes, ears and heart wide open and see a man who loves what he does do what he does best! Wishing you Peace and love.......
